GDP growth rate was more than 8 percent during UPA government

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel compared the country's GDP growth rate with Congress-led UPA: Govt. the current BJP-led NDA government after presenting the Union Budget 2023 on Wednesday.

"Budget did not support Kodo and Kutki growing in Chhattisgarh which is provided by the state government. The biggest Millets factory is in Chhattisgarh. We had a preparation two years ago for which they started power generation from cow dung on October 2, 2021. I recently opened a factory in Jagdalpur," he added.

When asked about the volatility in the stock market after the Hindenburg Research Adani Group report, Baghel said, "When we spoke against the BJP, we were called anti-Hindu; when we spoke against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, we were called anti-national, but now the report that has come out says that it is an attack on India, it is not an attack on Adan. Is it Adani, India?"

"Economist and Govt of India should say if the money NPS employees get after retirement sinks. The government of India should make the matter public. Because of the report, the stock market collapsed like a deck of cards. What happened in just a week, even after SBI and LIC money was invested in the stock market, is very alarming," said Baghel. Commenting on the meeting of the BJP's ethnic minorities wing, Baghel said on the discussion on love jihad by the son of a senior BJP leader."
