COVID-19: India saw a daily increase of 1,071 new cases

ON March 19, India saw a one-day increase of over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases after 129 days, and the number of active cases rose to 5,915, per data from the Union health office.

In just 24 hours, 1,071 new cases in all were recorded in the county, and the death toll rose to 5,30,802 with the most recent three fatalities—one each in the states of Rajasthan and Maharashtra and one reconciled in Kerala. The total number of infections is 4.46 crore, according to statistics from the ministry. (4,46,95,420).

Cases that are still open: As of this writing, active cases make up just 0.1% of all cases, and the national COVID-19 recovery percentage is now 98.8%. The number of patients who have recovered from the illness increased to 4,41,58,703, and the case fatality rate was 1.19 percent, according to the statistics.

Information about COVID vaccinations: According to the ministry's website, 220.65 crore doses of the Covid vaccine have been given across the nation as part of the ongoing national coronavirus immunization campaign.
