I value social media as a tool for connecting with fans

Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni is best known for her roles in television shows such as Kasam Teri Pyaar Ki and Gupta Brothers.

The actress is currently making headlines for her role in the Bollywood film Samrat Prithviraj. She collaborated with Akshay Kumar. Yash Raj Films produced the film.

The actress was contacted by reporters. We asked her how she handles social media and if she believes digital platforms will take over Bollywood and television.

How do you deal with the pressures of social media, given that it has both positive and negative aspects?

I use social media to connect with my fans, and nowadays, you are cast based on how many followers you have. The actors decide to work with you on the fundamentals. The saddest aspect of social media is that tiktokers who don't know how to act receive offers as a result of their followers. They buy half of them, leaving talented actors like us without a chance, which is unfortunate.

Do you have any restrictions on doing OTT roles because they are so daring?

Yes, I have limitations when it comes to accepting OTT roles because I am not comfortable doing daring scenes. As an actor, I can't go all out for a role because I have rules about my family.

Do you believe that the digital world will eventually supplant Bollywood and television?

I don't think the digital world will take over the television and Bollywood industries because people like to spend their weekends with their friends and family. Television is a medium that can be enjoyed with family and friends. Also, I believe that going to the movies is a unique experience that will never fade away.
