Palwal police registered a case against Haryana singer-dancer Sapna Choudhary and her family members for allegedly harassing and demanding dowry from the former Bigg Boss contestant's brother-in-law.

Sapna Choudhary's brother-in-law has filed a complaint with the Palwal women's police station against the singer-dancer and others, including her mother-in-law Neelam and husband Karan, for demanding a Crete car as dowry.

Complainant "harassed and sexually abused"

The Complainant alleged that her in-laws abused her and demanded dowry and when the demands were not met, she was sexually harassed and harassed.

The complainant married the brother of Sapna Karan, a resident of Najafgarh, Delhi.

In his complaint, Sapna's brother-in-law claimed that his father-in-law started demanding the car after his daughter was born in chuchak 'ceremony’. However, her father gave them Rs 300,000 in cash, gold, and silver jewelry and clothes.

She also claimed that after receiving gifts from her family, her in-laws were upset and began abusing her again, demanding a car.

She also said that on May 6, 2020, her husband (Karan) abused her under the influence of alcohol and had unnatural sex with her.

Investigation is in progress

She further stated that about six months ago she returned to her father's house in Palwal and registered a complaint against her relatives including Sapna Chaudhary, Karan and Neelam in the women's police station there but no arrests were made. case so far.

“The investigation continues. Assistant Superintendent of Police Satender is investigating the whole matter. The accused will be arrested after the charge sheet is filed,” said Sushila, head of the women's police station.
