Mona Motwani, Hansika Motwani's mother, demanded Rs 5 lakh from Sohael Khaturiya's family for the wedding

Hansika Motwani's latest series, 'Love Shaadi Drama,' is becoming increasingly bizarre with each episode release. The latest episode of Hansika's wedding drama made headlines when Hansika Motwani's mother, Mona Motwani, demanded Rs 5 Lakhs from the groom for arriving late at the wedding venue.

During the wedding festivities, Mona Motwani was seen looking disappointed and making a humble request to the groom's family. In the video, she can be heard saying, "I'd like to make a humble request. Kathurias are people who are always late, whereas Motwani are always on time. If you are late today, you must pay me Rs 5 lakh for each minute that you are late."

In a lavish wedding, Hansika Motwani married Mumbai-based businessman Sohael Khaturiya. On December 4, the couple married in Jaipur's Mundota Fort and Palace in the presence of the couple's family and friends.

The wedding was even grander, from the pre-wedding festivities to the theme parties, and is now documented as a reality show that is streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
