Low temperatures can also cause the fluid inside the joints to thicken, making them stiff. Arthritis pain that occurs in winter can be overcome by these methods:

Wear the right clothes

Wear winter clothes according to the temperature. Always cover your hands, knees, legs etc.

Stay hydrated

Staying hydrated will help you stay more active. Even mild dehydration can make you more sensitive to pain.


Exercising can be a bit difficult during cold days. But, it is necessary for the patients of joint pain to remain active. Exercising indoors can improve joint stiffness and muscle weakness.
