In the updated ICC Test rankings, Australia jumps ahead of India for the top spot

After taking the top spot in the ICC Test rankings earlier in the day, Team India relinquished it. Within six hours following the ICC's Wednesday announcement, Team Australia reclaimed the top rank.
The ICC published new Test rankings following India's victory against the Kangaroos in the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia came in second with 111 rating points, and India took the top spot with 115 points. Australia, with 126 rating points from 29 games, has claimed the top spot in the updated Test rankings. India's points are same at 115, but their position has declined.
At the moment, England is ranked third With 107 points, they are in third place and have a chance to go up as they take on New Zealand in a Test series beginning on February 16. New Zealand is in fifth place with 99 rating points, followed by South Africa in position four with 102 rating points.
Both the ODI and T20I formats, Team India is currently ranked first. To top the ICC Test Rankings, they will want to win the second Test match, which will begin on February 17 in Delhi.
