It might take a little longer for India pacer Jasprit Bumrah to make his international comeback, and the star of the Mumbai Indians will probably skip the Indian Premier League, which is scheduled to begin on March 31. Additionally, if Rohit Sharma's team makes it to the World Test Championship (WTC) final in June, he faces a real chance of losing.

A Cricbuzz story claims that Bumrah isn't confident in his level of fitness, per BCCI and IPL sources. He didn't receive a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the National Cricket School earlier this month.

The BCCI didn't want to introduce Bumrah to international cricket right away because the ODI World Cup is taking place at home later in the year and determined that the 28-year-old would be watched while competing for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL in 2023.

Additionally, according to the story, BCCI wants to prepare him for the World Cup's 50-over competition in October and November. His final appearance for India was a T20I matchup with Australia last September.

In order to secure their spot in the top match, India simply needs to defeat Australia in the third Test, which will take place in Indore beginning March 1. India presently has a 2-0 advantage in the four-match Test series.
